Hydra Care & Water Work Services
Our goal is to help every dog feel emotionally secure while in the water, helping them to feel the benefits of swimming in a safe environment. Water treatment is known to work muscles and assist in recovery from surgeries, injuries, and weight loss. It provides non-weight-bearing exercise that removes the stress and strains caused by working on the hard ground. Water treatment is also known to help dogs with hip dysplasia and aging dogs with arthritic joints. The gentle motion in the hips lubricates the joints, and the swimming stroke builds muscle and increases mobility. Often, with a water treatment program, your dog’s pain can be reduced, and their function can be improved.
Independent Aquatic Sessions*
Trainer-Assisted Aquatic Session:
$75/half hour - One Dog/One Handler
Independent Aquatic Session:
55/half hour - One Dog/One Handler
*ALL dogs that have not worked with us previously are REQUIRED to do at least one trainer-assisted session for evaluation purposes. It is at the discretion of Alpha K9 U when you will be moved from a trainer-assisted session to an independent one.
Aquatic Swim Sessions
No worries if your dog has never been swimming, we will help with swimming lessons! Our swim instructors use positive techniques to ensure your dog enjoys the experience. Life jackets and treats are included, and you will get wet, so appropriate attire (non-slip shoes) is recommended.
Weight Loss and Conditioning Programs
Alpha K9 U offers an exercise program tailored to your dog's individual needs. Our methods include full involvement in your dog's daily exercise and diet at our campus and at home. Most programs use multiple appointments during the week at our facility combined with at-home work. We provide various means to achieve weight loss, strength, flexibility, and endurance goals.

Appointments
You may request an appointment by email, phone, or fax and/or by stopping by the front office during office hours. For best results, schedule appointments at least 48 hours in advance (don't wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment). You may also schedule recurring appointments. If you are unable to attend an appointment, please let us know. We require a cancellation notice at least 24 hours before all appointments. We appreciate your help in keeping our schedule running efficiently.
