On our campus, the health and safety of all dogs are our top priorities. Therefore, all visiting dogs must be current on routine preventative health care for contagious diseases. This includes providing hard-copy documentation of vaccinations and negative parasite tests from a licensed veterinarian. We understand that these measures may seem strict, but they are in place to ensure the well-being of all our furry guests. Please note that dogs without proof of vaccinations and parasite test results will not be permitted entry.

Please ensure your pet's records are current before booking the reservation or registration process (refer to the Wellness Policy Doc below).

Alpha K-9 U Campus Wellness Policy

We have high standards at Alpha K9 U and have implemented strict health and safety requirements for an excellent reason—we are committed to keeping all pets safe and healthy! If we fail to require protection against contagious diseases and parasites, we cannot promise your pet the safest environment possible. Accordingly, all pets visiting our campus must be current on routine preventative health care for contagious diseases. A licensed veterinarian must provide vaccinations and parasite testing procedures to ensure adequate protection.

Alpha K9 U requires Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus), Bordetella vaccinations, and a negative fecal float. For your pet’s safety and well-being, please allow a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours after receiving vaccinations (such as Distemper and Rabies) before arrival. If your pet has never received the Bordetella vaccine, or if the vaccine has expired, and if the vaccine was given via intranasal (drops in the nose), the vaccine must be administered at least fourteen (14) days before arrival at Alpha K9 U.

Puppies must have their second set of DHPP Bordetella vaccinations and their Rabies vaccination (by 16 weeks of age). In addition, a negative Fecal Float AND a negative Giardia Test are necessary for all puppies (up to ten (10) months of age) and all dogs utilizing our Aquatic Center.
